Hi, my name is Noor Bchara, founder of Upcycle Design School. This lesson is Sustainable Materials for fashion design and how to measure the impact of the materials you use. Introduction
Welcome to Sustainable Materials for Fashion Design. My name is Noor Bchara, and I’ll be your lecturer. I’m the founder of Upcycle Design School, an educational platform dedicated to teaching about upcycling through on-demand video content. My mission is to inspire and educate people on upcycling and repurposed design and how to do it on a bigger scale.
For most designers, the easiest first step toward sustainability is to swap out their materials for more sustainable alternatives.
I just want you to keep in mind that materials are just part of a larger picture, and I hope you’ll think about the entire lifecycle of your product, as well as the entire system of fashion!
