MODULE 1 • Spaghetti Strap Development

Step Description
1 For this lesson, you will need to block and press a piece of #2 muslin measuring 14” (35.6cm) square. Draw a diagonal with a pencil to indicate the bias.
2 Use your tape measure to measure the length of the spaghetti strap, from the seam of the front neck point to the back neck point on your dress.
3 Place your bias strip muslin block on the table. On the diagonal line, measure over 1 ¼” (3.2cm) using your clear plastic ruler, to create a bias strip from one corner of the muslin block to the other. This will be for the spaghetti straps.
