Pivoting a Front Shoulder Dart to a Side Seam Dart
In this lesson, you will learn the mechanics of how to pivot a front bodice shoulder dart to a side bust dart. A side dart bodice sloper will be the foundation for many of your pattern making lessons. We will demonstrate how to easily move the dart and then how to true the bodice front, so that you will be able to add the side bust dart bodice to your sloper library.
For this lesson, we have provided free graded bodice slopers (U.S. sizes 2-16) for you to download, print out and cut out in your particular size. Use our Color Map download to help guide you with the cutting process. The UoF Global Size Chart will assist you in locating your size and size equivalent for the UK, Europe and Asia.
