Learn how to draw and illustrate design details including a draped pannier dress and a soft cowl blouse. We begin by teaching you how to map your fashion pose and to how to draw and shade your panniers. You will also learn drawing techniques for creating a dramatic cowl blouse. Once you have learned how to draw these design details, try your hand at learning how to draw smocking, cascade ruffles and pleats.

MODULE 1 • Mapping the Pose & Draped Panniers

Step Description
1A Start this lesson by mapping the gesture of the fashion pose, beginning with neck and the ‘S’ curve of the body.
1B Map the position of the arm.
1C Draw the front profile line of the fashion pose and indicate the waist.
2A Starting at the neck, map the panniers as diagonal lines, extending a bit beyond the line of the pose. Stop when you reach the waist.
