MODULE 1 • Lesson Prep

Step Description
1 For this lesson, we have prepared a piece of wool melton measuring 5” (12.7cm) in width by 4” (10.2cm) in length.
2 We will be using an open-top thimble on the middle finger of our sewing hand. We also be using a single strand of pearl cotton thread and a #8 Sharps Needle.
3 Thread your needle next. A tailor’s tip for creating a knot at the end of your thread is to twist the thread around the needle tip three times. Then slide the thread down the needle and along the thread with your fingers to form the knot.
