MODULE 1 • Lesson Prep

Step Description
1 For our lapped zipper with back facing sampler, we have prepared two back body pieces and two back facing pieces. If this were not a sampler but an actual garment, we would interface the facings.
2 We stitched the zipper to right side of our back-sampler piece, following the instruction from our Lapped Zipper lesson.
3 We pressed back the ¾” (1.9cm) seam allowance of the body’s left side to form a crease. Now, position the zipper at ¼” (6mm) away from the crease on the seam allowance and stitch the zipper in the middle of the zipper tape.
