Lapped Seam Finish
This lesson will teach you how to sew a lapped seam finish. This finish can be used when working with fabrics or other materials where the edges won’t fray. This is a very popular finish for garments made from double-faced wool, leather or faux leather and suede.

MODULE 1 • Lesson Prep
|1||For this lesson we cut 2 pieces of a double face wool fabric measuring 6” (15.24cm) in the width grain and 5” (12.7cm) in the length grain of the fabric. We are using 2 colors to better illustrate the technique. This seam finish can be used on any garment where the fabric edges don’t fray.|
