Knit Necklines
Neck finishes for knit fabrics will no longer be a challenge. This lesson will introduce you to a variety of sewing machines for you to choose the desired neck finish for your specific knit garment. Whether it is a simple overlocked and chainstitched finish or a banded neckline with a coverstitch, we will teach you how.

MODULE 1 • Overlock/Chainstitch Neckline
Step | Description |
---|---|
1 | For this lesson, we prepared a mock T-shirt, front and back, out of a cotton/Lycra jersey. |
2 | In preparation for sewing the neckline, we twill-taped and sewed our front and back shoulder seams together. |
3A | For this lesson, we will be using a Brother 3034D Lock Overlock Machine with three threads for the overlocked edge and a Baby Lock Evolution Machine to sew the chainstitched neckline. |
