Introduction to Procreate for Fashion Design

In this introductory lesson, you will learn how to use your iPad and Apple Pen to create beautiful fashion drawings using the Procreate app. We will teach you how to use the Apple pen to create different types of brush strokes and various types of finger shortcuts. You will also learn how to create different templates and how to use Procreate tools, such as the eraser, the smudge tool and the concept of creating layers. In addition to this, you will learn how to share documents or layers and resize your canvas.

Note: You will need access to an iPad Pro, an iPencil and Procreate software in order to do this lesson.

Step Description
1 The ipad I’m using in this video is a 12.9” Ipad Pro, Second Generation. I’m also using an Apple Pencil
2 Procreate is an app that you can purchase at your app store and is a one-time fee of 10 dollars. The current Procreate version is 5.0. You can go to www.procreate.art and find a list of different Ipads and Stylus pencils compatible with Procreate.
