Step Description
1 Garment specs are recorded on a company spec sheet. This is an example of one company’s spec sheet containing all of the key points of measure for this particular style skirt.

MODULE 2 • FRONT SKIRT SPECS

Step Description
1 Begin specing by finding the skirt length. Measure at center front from the top of the skirt front waist to the bottom of the hem.
2A Match up the front and back waistlines and then measure from left to right, following the contour of the waist.
2B Fold the tape measure over to double the measurement to find the total waist circumference.
