High-Waisted Skirt
Once you have drafted your basic straight skirt sloper, you are ready to draft a high-waist skirt. In this lesson, you will learn our easy step method for raising the waistline and how then how to change a skirt from two darts to a single dart. You will also learn how to draft a facing, so that you will have a beautifully clean-finished waistline.

1A | For this lesson, you will need a piece of white unlined pattern paper measuring 22” (55.9cm) wide by 36” (91.4cm) long. |
1B | And, for your skirt facings, you will need two pieces of white pattern paper measuring 10” (25.4cm) wide by 8” (20.32cm) long. |
2 | You will also need your oaktag basic skirt sloper. |
