MODULE 1 • Lesson Prep

Step Description
1 To begin this lesson, style tape your dress form’s bust level. Style tape from apex to apex, to the side seam on the right side of the dress form.
2 For a size 6 dress form, you will need to prepare a muslin block that measures 14” (35.6cm) wide in the width grain x 21” (53.3cm) long in the length grain of the muslin. You should always remove the selvage of the muslin first. Snip and tear your front muslin, so that your block will be on grain.
3A With the front muslin block flat on the table, we will use our L square to check if our muslin block’s grains are at right angles to each another.
