Flat-felled Seam Finish

Flat-felled Seam Finish

Flat-felled Seam Finish

This lesson is a hand sewn flat-felled seam finish and is most commonly used on denim jeans because this seam finish is the most durable. We’ll first teach you how to sew the seam of the sampler and then demonstrate the technique used to create this seam finish. You can also use this seam finish on wools and other medium-weight fabrics. For an even sportier look add contrast topstitching to the seam finish.
