Drawing Female Relaxed Standing Pose
This beginner lesson will teach you how to draw the female relaxed standing pose. Just like they teach in fashion college, you will learn how to draw the croquis using a 10-head method. You’ll also learn body proportion and anatomy, so that your female figure is technically accurate. Once you have perfected the technique, you’ll be ready to move on to the intermediate level.
Add to your croquis collection by learning how to draw the Female Walking Pose, the Female Contrapposto Pose and the Female Frontal Pose.

MODULE 1 • PLANNING THE FRONT
|1||The first thing you need to do is to establish your center line on the page. Draw a line, either with your ruler, or by eye. Leave 1/4” (6mm) on the top and bottom of the page.|
|2||Divide that line in half and place a mark. This marks the centerline.|
|3||We will be drawing what is called a 10-headed proportion, so you will divide your line into 10 equal sections, or at 1 ½” (3.8cm) apart. I have numbered them 1, 2, 3. 4. 5, and I’ll do the same thing on the bottom 6 , 7, 8, 9. 10.|
