Lace Rendering – Mood Drawing
This advanced lesson will teach you how to create a female mood drawing of lace, using gouache, brushes and pencils. Once you have downloaded and printed our female fashion croquis supplied with this lesson, you will use this sketch as your canvas. Let us teach you how to illustrate this beautifully expressive fashion figure wearing a lace dress, a picture hat and a flowing sash. 1 | Start this lesson, by first downloading and printing the fashion croquis supplied with this lesson. |
2 | Place a small amount of black sumi ink on the ceramic plate and add a slight amount of water with your #14 brush. Mix the ink and water together, in preparation for illustrating the figure. Dab the brush on the plate several times to reduce the amount of ink on the brush. |
