Drawing the Male Frontal Croquis Pose in Procreate
Once you have viewed our Introduction to Procreate for Fashion Design lesson, you are ready to learn how to draw a male frontal croquis using Procreate. In this lesson, we will teach you how to use the grid option on a canvas and then how to proportion each section of the body to create a basic frontal pose. In addition, you will learn how to use layers and different brushes to finalize the fashion croquis.
Note: You will need access to an iPad Pro, an iPencil and Procreate software in order to do this lesson.

MODULE 1 • Creating a Canvas and Grid
Step | Description |

1 | Once you viewed our Introduction to Procreate for Fashion Design lesson, you are ready to learn how to draw a Male Frontal Croquis using Procreate. |
2 | We will start by opening the procreate software. Go to Gallery and on the top right, click on the “Plus” sign, then pick an 8” x 11” (20.3cm by 28cm) canvas. With two fingers, pinch and hold the canvas and make it a bit smaller. |
3 | Go to the top left, and select the Wrench or Actions tool, then click on the canvas. Pick on the “Drawing Guide” and slide the button to the right so it turns blue, also click on Edit Drawing Guide to adjust the size of the grid. |
