1 | In this lesson, you will learn how to draw a hipster and high waist bottom, front and back view, in Adobe Illustrator. |
2 | Using the template provided by the University of Fashion, named Hipster and High Waisted Bottom, you’ll be able to access this using Adobe Illustrator. So first off, we’ll start with the brand name, the season, the style name and number and we’ll be using the front torso and the back torso, cropped as you see here, in order to be able to sketch these two swim bottoms. You’ll also be provided with brushes as the following, which will be an outline stroke and a zigzag. Also, provided within the template, you’ll see our layers, brushes and swatches. To the left-hand side, I just have the toolbar over here to be able to start sketching on these styles. |
3 | So usually, I like to zoom in nice and close to get as close as possible to the actual croquis to start drawing on. On the right side, where you see the layers, you’ll see that the sketch one is the one that we’ll be sketching on. The croquis is underneath it, which is this, and then the template is just what identifies the brand and name, and then as well as the brushes down here. |
