Draping a Princess Panel Sundress with Handkerchief Hem
Using a half-scale dress form, you will learn how to drape a multi princess-paneled sundress with a handkerchief hem. Working half scale is a great way to try out new design ideas before moving to full scale. Once you have planned your design lines with style tape, and then draped each of your panels, you will test your design out before moving to the fabric of your choice.

MODULE 1 • Working in Half Scale

| 1 | For draping our sundress with a handkerchief hem, we will be using a half-scale dress form. A half-scale form it is a great way to test out a design before draping it full-scale, and it takes less time to drape and uses less material. |
| 2 | Although it may appear that this half scale size 6 form is much smaller than this size 6 full-scale form, it is indeed half the width and length of a full-scale dress form. If you are working in full scale for this lesson, simply double all of the measurements. |
