Draping a Cascade Ruffle Sleeve

In this lesson, you will learn how draping with cascade ruffles can bring otherwise basic sleeves to life. We will teach you how to draft a variety of circle shapes and then, once they are cut in fabric, can be applied to different areas of sleeves to ignite your creativity. Step Description
1 In preparation for this lesson you will need the sleeve that you drafted in our lesson entitled, “Drafting an Extended 2-piece Sleeve”.
2 For this lesson we have drafted several circle shapes for you to choose from and experiment with. The following circle patterns have varying inner and outer circle diameters, and different placement variations for the inner circle, which will produce interesting effects. The first pattern’s outer circle diameter measures 8 3/4” (22.2cm) and its inner circle diameter is 1” (2.5cm).
3 The second pattern’s outer circle is 8 3/4” (22.2cm) and its inner circle is 2 5/8” (6.7cm).
