Drafting a Turtleneck Knit Top – 2 Variations
In this lesson we will teach you how to draft two variations of a turtleneck knit top, one with a neckline seam and the other as an all-in-one turtleneck. You will learn how to interpret the turtleneck sketches to determine key measurements, like the front neck drop, the distance from the shoulder/neckline intersection, the center back neck drop and the height of the turtleneck.
The sleeveless knit T-shirt sloper needed for this lesson can be found and drafted in our lesson, Drafting a Women’s Fitted Stable Knit T-shirt Sloper from Measurements. The fabric planned for this draft is a cotton/Lycra single knit jersey.
