Drafting a Men’s Trouser Block
In this lesson, we shall teach you how to draft a men’s trouser block or sloper from measurements. This block, or sloper, will become the foundation for many of your trouser designs and patterns to come.

MODULE 1 • First Steps
Step | Description |
---|---|
1 | Our first step is to prepare our paper measuring 38” (96.5cm) wide by 48” (121.9cm) long. |
2 | Our first step is to mark a guideline 4” (10.2cm) from the outer edge of the paper. After we have done that we are going to take about 1” (2.5cm) and label that point as point A. |
3 | From point A, I am going to measure my #88 Outseam and please refer to our measurement charts for measurement specifications, along this line at 44” (111.8cm). My outseam is 44” (111.8cm) and at the end of that I am going to mark that as point B. |
