Drafting a Girl’s A-Line Dress
We’re going to demonstrate how easy it is to draft a girl’s A-line dress pattern, by using your child front and back torso slopers, from our ‘Drafting a Child Torso Sloper’ lesson. This is a classic silhouette in girls’ dresses, from which you can easily create a variety of styles.
The slopers needed for this lesson can be found and drafted in our draping lesson: Draping a Child’s Bodice Sloper or downloaded, printed and cut-out from the 2-6X Child Bodice Sloper Nest provided in our lesson: Draping a Child’s Bodice Sloper. This bodice is then converted to a child’s torso sloper in our lesson: Drafting a Child’s Torso Sloper.
