We’ll be making something deceptively easy; a wonderful and very trendy little crocheted tabard that will spice up your wardrobe and make people think you’ve started wearing designer clothes. It’s so much fun to make, and it won’t even take that long. You’ll be using five different colors, all in the same yarn weight, and you’ll learn how to make a chain and three different stitches: mesh stitch, single crochet and double crochet. Let’s begin.

While you practice, you’ll get comfortable with working the stitches and holding the yarn properly, and your stitches will get even. That’s called your tension, and it just gets better and better: The more you crochet, the more even your tension will get.
