MODULE 1 • Intro to Tech Packs

Step Description
1 So, a tech pack is essentially all of the information that you need to put into your package for a factory to successfully produce your garment. So, an overview of a tech pack is of four main pages. So, the first page is your cover page, and it has a sketch of what your front and back view will look like, the color that it will be in. And then just basic information like your brand name, the season, the style name and number, and a list of all of the components that will be in your garment.
2 Then the next page is the bill of materials. This is essentially a breakdown of all of the components that will be in your actual garment that the factory will need to order, to create your specific garments, then you’ll have your technical sketch or your detail sketch. Those will be a front view, a back view, and an interior view of your garment. We’ll go, get into more detail as we go through the lesson, but I included just a quick callout sketch just to show you how you’ll be indicating certain stitches and construction within your garments.
