Drawing a Cascade Neck Ruffle
Learn how to draw a beautiful cascade neck ruffle on a softly draped blouse. We begin by teaching you how to map your fashion pose and then how draw and shade your ruffles both on the neckline and on the sleeve. Once you have learned how to draw this design detail, try your hand at learning how to draw smocking and different types of pleats.

MODULE 1 • Mapping the Gesture & Cascade Ruffles
|1||Begin this lesson, by mapping the gesture of your fashion figure: lay in the lines for the neck, the plum line and the shoulder line.|
|2||Pencil in the V-neck line of the blouse and then add the collar at the neck.|
|3||Now, draw the collar’s flow lines and the shape of the cascading ruffles on both sides of the collar. Try and mimic the image on both sides, since this is the same collar.|
