Asymmetric Front Twist
This lesson is how to drape an asymmetric front twist, and is part of our 3-part series on draping twists. You will learn how to plan your neckline, how to prepare your fabric and then how to manipulate jersey knit fabric to drape a tunic with side ruching. Once you have mastered this twist, learn how to create a center front twist and a skirt twist.

Step | Description |
---|---|
1 | Begin this lesson, by applying style tape to create the asymmetric neckline. |
2A | Position the style tape at 3 ½” (8.9cm) away from the neckline on the dress form’s right shoulder. |
2B | You will position the left-side of the shoulder the same, at 3 ½” (8.9cm) away from the neck. |
