Armhole Dart Bodice – Boat Neckline
This lesson will teach you how to design a boat neck bodice with an armhole dart. Building upon our Basic Bodice lesson, you will learn how to manipulate the dart fullness, to create a bodice where the dart is less prominent. You will be inspired to design your own back for this bodice and then have fun transforming it into a dress, a top or even a jumpsuit.

| Step | Description |

| 1A | To begin this lesson, style tape the boat neck style line at 3” (7.6cm) away from the neck, on both sides of the dress form. |
| 1B | Style tape the bust line from left apex to right apex, to the side seam. |
| 1C | Be sure to leave bust ease between the apex points. |
