Marieke has worked as a strategic consultant for multi-national marketing, fashion, active-wear and soft goods, consumer electronics and product design companies.
Her experience ranges from macro-trend translations for international marketing teams to specific ready-to use color, material and style design direction for all types of consumer products.
Marieke is highly regarded within the industry for her ability to connect high-level, long term trending, to time targeted and brand specific trend stories, translating these to tangible product and design direction. Her proprietary processes are designed to build brand strategies, and inspire beautiful, well-timed products.
Currently based in San Francisco, Marieke has previously lived in Italy and the Netherlands, where she started her career in trend analysis and worked as a stylist, editor and consultant for Italian, English and Dutch magazines and fashion brands.
Marieke holds an advanced MA in fashion editing and styling and a MA in Humanities.
She has presented at major trade and marketing events in the U.S. and beyond and has been featured in both local and international media.
Marieke is a frequent guest lecturer at major art colleges around the country.
