Welcome, Parsons Students!

We are thrilled to add Parsons The New School for Design in New York City  to our roster of fashion colleges utilizing the University of Fashion in their resource libraries. Wondering how the University of Fashion can work for you while enrolled in design school?  In this blog post, we discuss using the “3 Es” to get the most out of the University of Fashion video library.

ENHANCE:

The University of Fashion is a valuable resource that enhances in-class learning by allowing you to review basic skills at your own pace.  For example, maybe it’s been a while since your construction instructor demonstrated how to sew leather, yet constructing the unique leather jacket you have designed remains a challenge.  No worries – you can now get a first hand review using the University of Fashion’s step-by-step instructional videos.

ENRICH:

Perhaps your eveningwear collection requires you to render sequins and you haven’t yet reached that lesson in class. No need to be held back – use the University of Fashion’s video library to enrich your current skills.  Consult our Fashion Art section to learn how to render plaid and many other textures, patterns and fabrics.

EXTEND:

We understand that there are not enough hours in the day or room in your curriculum to learn everything you want to know about the fashion industry!  Therefore, we make it easy to extend your education by offering videos on topics such as Branding, Marketing, Licensing and Color Theory.  Take advantage of our mini-lectures taught by designers, professionals and instructors working in the fashion industry.
