Color from Armani? You must be confused. Armani is synonymous with neutrals – grey, beige, sand. Slate is a bright color for Armani.
“Eccentrico” – Giorgio Armani’s traveling retrospective exhibition of his Armani Prive Collection that accompanied his spectacular, star studded “One Night Only” event in New York tells a different story.
Futuristic Armani
This futuristic piece was a surprise for even the most loyal and studied Armani fans. It embodied the theme Eccentrico which is best described in the designer’s own words:
For the traditionalist with a palette for evening glamour, there was no shortage of inspiration.
Mr. Armani staged this event in New York as his “way of saying thank you” to the American public – many of whom have become his loyal followers.
In recognition for Mr. Armani’s “ longstanding relationship with the city of New York” Mayor Michael Bloomberg designated October 24th, 2013 – The day of the “One Night Only” event as “Giorgio Armani Day”.
