Privacy Policy

University of Fashion, Inc. (U of F) has created this Privacy Policy to demonstrate its firm commitment to protect your privacy when visiting and using and such other URLs as may be designated by University of Fashion® in the future (“Sites”). Please read the following privacy policy set forth below so that you are informed about the types of information we will gather about you when you visit and use our Sites, how we will use that information and how we may disclose your information to third parties. This Privacy Policy does not apply to any information collected by us offline or via third-party sites that may be accessed through hyperlinks on this Site.


Types of information U of F collects about you

Personal Information

U of F website’s registration and order forms require users to provide us with contact information to establish subscription accounts and purchase services and products. We may collect each user’s name, address, city, state, postal code, telephone number, e-mail address, credit card details, purchase order numbers and/or other related financial identification information. We use this information to contact the user regarding subscriptions, orders and administrative matters, including updates to U of F policies and licenses. New users are automatically opted into receiving communications related to their joining, subscribing to or buying licenses from U of F. All U of F customers or members may opt out of receiving future commercial communications at any time (see “Anti-Spam Policy/Opt-out Choice” below).

Non-Personal Information

Non-Personal Information is information that we collect that, by itself, cannot identify you personally. This type of information may include demographic information such as your age, gender, income, education, profession, area code, zip code, items that you contribute to the Sites, and/or technical information, including, the type(s) of browser you use, your operating system(s), your IP address(es), information that you provide us through your use of the Sites such as the terms you enter into the search functions of the Sites and websites that you access before and after you access the Sites.

IP Address and Cookies

We use your internet protocol address to help diagnose problems with our server and to better manage our website. We also use your internet protocol address to help identify you and your shopping cart.

The U of F website may place “cookies” on your computer’s hard drive through your web browser. “Cookies” can allow the U of F website to recognize your computer when you access the website as a return user. If you would like to prevent the placement of cookies on your computer, or to remove cookies from your computer, please access the “Help” feature on your browser to learn how you can disallow it from accepting cookies or contact your browser provider if additional instructions are required. How we use the information we collect

We do not rent or sell personal user information and generally restrict access to user information to qualified U of F directors, officers, employees, contractors, advertiser, service providers and agents who need to know your information. These entities are bound by confidentiality obligations to protect your personal information. Should any of these individuals violate those confidentiality obligations, they may be subject to discipline (including termination) and criminal prosecution.

As noted above, we use third party businesses to perform certain services to assist us in providing services to you that may require the sharing of your personal information.  We require those businesses to only use your personal information to provide a particular service or product and they are not authorized to use your personal information for any other purpose.  For example, we may work with a third party business that provides email services, facilitates our online services and/or provides marketing and promotional assistance, products and/or advertising.

We may transmit a customer’s credit card data only to the appropriate credit card company and/or credit card payment processing company. Before hiring third parties to access U of F user information to provide operational or other support services to U of F, we check to confirm that they maintain satisfactory standards of security.

We store the information entered by users, such as credit card numbers, purchase order numbers and related identification information. The financial information is only used to bill the user for products and services. However, we may disclose a user’s contact or financial information if required to do so by law or a court of competent jurisdiction or in the good-faith belief that such disclosure is necessary to comply with an order of a court or government authority, or a subpoena, to investigate, defend and enforce U of F rights and your obligations, to protect U of F assets, to apply our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy  and other licenses, to assist law enforcement, to any companies and organizations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risks, as required by necessary professional standards, as you may consent to, and as otherwise set forth in this Privacy Policy.

We may collect information on the services and products viewed by you on the website. We may use this information to customize your experience and to suggest and offer you products according to your preferences. We may use this information to identify demographic information patterns and trends of use, but will only release or publish any such information in a manner that preserves your anonymity.

U of F may transfer part or all of your personal and non-personal information without asking for your prior permission in the case of a merger, acquisition, purchase by U of F other businesses, bankruptcy, or other sale of all or a portion of U of F assets or stock.


If you are a California resident and have provided us with Personally Identifiable Information, California law gives you the right to request and receive from us, once per calendar year, information as to how we have shared your Personally Identifiable Information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes If applicable, such information would include a list of names and addresses of all third parties with whom such information was shared during the prior calendar year as well as a list of the categories of Personally Identifiable Information shared. To make such a request, please contact us by clicking the “Contact” link on Home page [The Home page is the first page one sees after typing and entering the U of F URL ( into an internet web browser.], filling in the required contact information, summarizing your request (including the phrase “California Privacy Request”) and clicking the “Send” button on the bottom of the form. We will respond to you within thirty days of receiving such a request.

U of F reserves the right to use, disclose, license, assign or otherwise transfer information which is not personal information in U of F’s sole discretion as U of F deems appropriate.

This website contains links to other companies’ websites. U of F is not responsible for and has no control over the privacy practices, security practices or the content of such websites.  When using a link on U of F Site to another website, you should check the applicable privacy policy of the website.

Site Intended for Use by Adults

This website is intended for use by adults and not children and minors. U of F does not knowingly collect or publish any information personally identifying any child under age 13. Children under age 13 should not access this website and do not have U of F permission to post any information personally identifying themselves anywhere on the website or its affiliated chat rooms, forums, message boards and/or news groups, if any.


The security of this website and your information is of great importance to U of F.

This website has reasonable security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of your information under U of F control. But, we make no assurances about U of F ability to prevent any such loss, misuse or alteration and we shall have no liability to you or to any third party from any loss, misuse or alteration. We do not warrant that your access to the website is completely secure.  Some states or countries do not allow this limitation and so it may not apply to you.

You should promptly notify U of F if the user name / email address and/or password used to purchase U of F licenses have been forgotten, lost or stolen. Note: outside of prompting you for your password on the site to log into your account, we will only very rarely ask you for your password through any other means of communication. If you’re not sure if it’s us asking for your password, write us directly through our Contact form on the Home page of our website.

You define your username when you first become a member or a customer of U of F. If you’ve forgotten your U of F username, follow the steps outlined in the FAQ.

If you have forgotten your password or believe someone has possession of or has stolen your U of F password or if you would simply like to change your password, and you are an individual subscriber (I.e. not a member of a Group), log into the U of F website with your current password then click the “Edit Profile” link Under Membership Management on your personalized Welcome page. Once you arrive at your “Edit Profile” page enter your new password on the bottom of the page.  Then click on the “Save all changes” button on the bottom of the page.

Anti-Spam Policy/Opt-out Choice

U of F is committed to providing users of this website with the choice to receive or to not receive e-mails and/or other communications from U of F. We strive to comply with the CAN-SPAM Act. We only send commercial e-mails to users who have requested or consented to receive e-mails about U of F services and products. We do not send unsolicited commercial e-mails (“spam”), buy or sell e-mail lists or use purchased or harvested e-mail lists. We offer commercial e-mail recipients the opportunity to opt-out of further communications in every e-mail. If you would like to opt-out of receiving further communications from U of F, send an email to U of F by filling out and then sending the form you will find if you click the “Contact” link or button on the U of F Home page.

Please note that U of F may not include the opt-out information in non-commercial e-mails (i.e. e-mails concerning your order, the website’s Terms and Conditions of Use, etc.). Modification of Contact Information and/or Financial Information

If you would like to change your account details, please log onto your account by clicking the “Login” link on the U of F Home page. Look for one or more of the following links under Membership Management on your personalized Welcome page:

  • Edit Profile
    • Allows you to change your name, password, etc.
  • Upgrade to Monthly or Yearly Subscription
    • If you have a Free Member account or and Monthly subscription, this link will appear to enable you to upgrade to a higher level of subscription
  • Cancel Subscription
    • This allows you to cancel your subscription. Note: your subscription will only terminate after your current monthly or yearly term ends

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us by clicking the “Contact” link on the U of F Home page and writing an email to U of F Customer Service using the form provided. After receiving a request to change your information, we will make reasonable efforts to ensure that all of your personal information stored in our databases will be updated, corrected, changed or deleted, as appropriate, as soon as is reasonably practicable. However, we reserve the right to retain in our archival files any information we remove from or change in our active website databases. We may retain such information to resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems and enforce our terms and conditions of use. In addition, it is not technologically possible to remove each and every record of the information you have provided to us. A copy of your personal information may exist in a non-erasable form that will be difficult or impossible for us to locate.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

U of F reserves the right to change or modify this Privacy Policy from time to time in its sole and absolute discretion. Please note, you will are bound by any minor changes to the policy when you use the Sites after those changes have been posted. Substantive revisions to this Privacy Policy shall apply only prospectively. Please check this website regularly for changes.
