Velvet Blind Stitch-Double Overcast

MODULE 1 • Lesson Prep

Step Description
1 For this lesson, we have prepared a piece of velvet measuring 10” (25.4cm) wide x 8” (20.32cm) long.
2 We will be using an open top thimble and 6 Strand cotton embroidery floss for demonstration purposes. You would want to use matching cotton thread if this were an actual garment hem.
3 Place your thimble on your middle finger and then cut a 15” (38.1cm) strand from the embroidery floss package.
