This lesson will teach you how to prepare and sew spaghetti straps. You will learn how to create a bias strip, how to sew the straps and then how to use a loop turner to turn you fabric straps into spaghetti straps. We’ll even teach you pressing techniques so that your spaghetti straps look perfect every time.

MODULE 1 • Spaghetti Strap Development
|1||For this lesson you will need to block and press a piece of #2 muslin measuring 14” (35.56cm) square. Draw a diagonal with a pencil to indicate the bias.|
|2||Use your tape measure to measure the length of the spaghetti strap from the seam of the front neck point to the back neck point, on your dress.|
|3||Place your bias strip muslin block on the table. On the diagonal line measure over 1 ¼” (3.18cm) using your clear plastic ruler to create a bias strip from one corner of the muslin block to the other. This will be for the spaghetti straps.|
