Female Walking Pose
This beginner lesson will teach you how to draw the female walking pose.
Using the quick and easy 10 head method, just like they do in fashion college, you will learn how to put your croquis figure into motion!
You’ll also learn about body proportion and anatomy so that your designs are technically accurate.
Once you have perfected the technique, you’ll soon be drawing like a pro!
Add to your croquis collection by learning how to draw the Female Relax Standing Pose, the Female Contrapposto Pose and the Female Frontal pose.
Move on to drawing details such as the Female Head, Hands and Feet. In no time you will be ready to advance to the Intermediate level.

MODULE 1 • PLANNING THE FRONT
|1||The first thing you need to do is to establish your center or plum line on the page. Draw a line either with your ruler or, in this case, by eye. Leave ¼” on the top and bottom of the page.|
|2||Divide the plum line in half and place a mark. This marks the center line.|
|3||We will be drawing what is called a 10 headed proportion, so you will divide your line into 10 equal sections, or at 1 ½” apart. I have numbered them 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and I’ll do the same thing on the bottom 6 , 7, 8, 9, 10.|
